Do you fully want to enjoy your pregnancy , do you feel the need for relaxation, do you want balance between your body and mind, and do you want to make a conscious contact with your baby in your belly?
 
 

Come and join pregnancy yoga ! The course is in Dutch and in English.

Pregnancy is an unforgettable experience which will be more intense if you practice pregnancy yoga. Pregnancy yoga will make your muscles flexible and strong. It will also give your inner power and balance to give birth as relaxed as possible.

What will you do?

During the course of 8 classes there is time for yourself, your baby in your belly and for your partner. Besides yoga exercises we will practice breathing and learn how to push and relax during labor (contractions). You will be shown how to stand, lay down, to sit an walk during pregnancy. We will practise massage and do exercises to enhance the contact with your baby. You will also receive information about different types of giving birth, healthy food and special tips for pregnancy diseases. And you can exchange experiences with other pregnant women. During the three partner classes the partner will learn some tricks and tips to help you to bring your child into the world. If your partner can/does not want to join the partner class you can bring your mother (in law), sister (in law) or a friend.

What do you need?
You do not need any yoga experience. You can start with the course when you are beteen 16 and 26 weeks pregnant. You can continue with pregnancy yoga until the day of giving birth. Wear comfortable clothes. Bring a big towel/cloth, a refillable water bottle and anti-slip socks or slippers with you.

Who is the yoga teacher?
My name is Coco Bliss. I got my diploma for pregnancy yoga teacher at Mudra, School for Pregnancy Yoga, headed by pregnancy yoga expert Tanja Secrève. I worked as a trainee for Greetje Schaap in the Birthcentre Amsterdam. I received the international acknowledged yoga teacher diploma from Sivananda in India. I follow for years classes from my yogamaster Martyn Hoogstra in Nederland and in India. I did yogamaster classes with Dona Holleman. Martyn and Dona are both trained by yogamaster B.K.S. Iyengar, the founder of the modern yoga. The training for ayurvedic acupresure massage I did in Auroville in India. I worked as a trainer, manager of a daycare centre, and for a pregnancy yoga magazine, childern's television and film.

For me it is very important that by doing pregnancy yoga you will be more conscious about yourself and your pregnanacy and will feel confident that you will manage giving birth.

Will the insurance pay the pregnancy yoga?
Some insurance companies will pay (a part of) the fee of the pregnancy yoga. Check at your insurance company if they will. You can send your receipt to your insurance company

Monday from 19.30 until 21 hrs (partner classes at Friday night):

1) Monday 28 January: Introduction

2) Monday 4 February: Breathing and Pelvic floor muscles

3) Friday 8 February: 1st phase of the delivery (1st class with partner)

4) Monday 11 February: Stretching

5) Friday 15 February: 2nd phase of the delivery (2nd class with partner)

6) Monday 18 February: Energy

7) Friday 22  February: 3rd phase of the delivery (3rd class with partner)

8) Monday 25 February: Summary

Baby show: On Saturday afternoon at studio Bliss. Date and time will be discussed with the group so everybody can be there.

Fee for 8 classes (inclusive 3 classes with partner) and a baby show: 175 euro. No trial class possible.

I work with small groupes (maximum of 8 persons), so I can give you personal attention.

As an extra service you will receive a summary of each class by email.

Babyshow:
The date will be planed after all the baby's are delivered so that everybody of the group has delivered her baby and can join.

Baby show: on Saturday afternoon at studio Bliss. Date and time will be discussed with the group so everybody can be there.

PREGNANCY YOGA WITH PARTNER (PREGNANT TOGETHER)

Besides the regular pregnancy yoga course there is a special pregnancy yoga course for you and your partner! Partners like it to play an important and active rol in the pregnancy proces. Before, during and after giving birth.

You and your partner are a team. Your are both pregnant and are both preparing on a new born baby. During this course you will learn in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere to support each other and to connect with your baby.

Topics that will be discussed:

• breathing technics and relaxation technics
• to make contact with each other and the baby
• developments during the pregnancy
• pregnancy diseases and hormonal changes
• advantages and disadvantages of different types of giving birth
• birth plan
• different phases of giving birth
• breathing technics for labour pains/contractions
• positive attitude and stimulating factors during giving birth
• positions for giving birth
• relaxing and painrelieving massage
• different types of pain controlling methods
• different types of giving birth and possible complications
• nursing time/(breast) feeding
• exchanging experiences with the other couples

- The course exists of 3 meetings.
- You can start the course when you are between 16 and 26 weeks pregnant.

- Were comfortable sport/yoga clothes and bring a big cloth/towel and a refillable water bottle.

Fee for the course : 3 meetings for 125 euro for a couple. No trial class possible, but you can do a private class of 1,5 hrs for 75 euro for a couple.

POST NATAL YOGA WITH BABY MASSAGE

Do you want to recover physically and mentally after your pregnancy? And do you want to do excersises to enhance the contact with your baby? Come and join the postnatal pregnancy yoga with baby and baby massage!

 

 

What will you do?
The course consists of 2 classes with the following topics:
exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles;
breathing technics;
exercises for the back and abdomen;
relaxation technics;
reading the body language of your baby;
holding technics of your baby
massage technics (Shanatala).


In about 6 weeks after giving birth you can start with postnatal yoga. You do not need any yoga experience. Wear comfortable clothes. Bring a big towel/cloth, a refillable water bottle and anti-slip socks or slippers with you. There is a special baby changing table in the toilet. Bring extra towels and a baby changing cousion or sheep cloth to massage the baby on. Carry your baby in a baby carrying bag, because unfortunately there is no space inside for prams or buggies.

Saturday from 15 until 16.30 hrs.

Fee for the course of 3 classes: 75 euro. Together with partner: 100 euro.

No trial class possible, but private baby massage of 1,5 hrs for 60 euro. Private class together with partner: 75 euro.

WELL WOMAN YOGA

Special hata yoga  for women during their life cycle. Also during and after your pregnancy. Hatha yoga is a form of yoga that consists of postures (asanas), breathing (pranayama) and meditation.

Friday morning from 10.30 until 12 hrs

- Class: 10 euro (the first class is free when you subscribe for 10 classes within a week)

Courses will start again in September, after the summer vacation.

PRIVATE CLASSES PREGNANCY YOGA WITH OR WITHOUT PARTNER. PREGNANCY MASSAGE, BABY MASSAGE, PARTNER MASSAGE

Fee: 45 euro per hour or 60 euro for 1,5 hrs. With partner 75 euro.

Alone or together with partner. During partner massage you learn how to massage eachother.
